GETTING TO PAROS

Getting to Paros is easy and enjoyable, whether you choose to fly or sail across the Aegean. Below you’ll find travel tips and useful links to help plan your journey.

FLYING TO PAROS

ATH - PAS

The quickest way to get to Paros is by flying from Athens. Several daily flights operate between
Athens International Airport (ATH) and Paros Airport (PAS), with a flight time of approximately
30 minutes. Airlines like Aegean Airlines, Olympic Air and Sky Express provide these direct connections.
Since Paros Airport is small with only two gates, there are no direct international flights, so all air travel
routes to Paros require a stopover in Athens. Flights tend to sell out quickly, so we recommend
booking as soon as you find one that suits your schedule.

FERRY TO PAROS

FROM RAFINA OR PIRAEUS PORT

Alternatively, you can take a ferry from Athens to Paros. Ferries depart regularly from the ports
of Piraeus and Rafina (both in Athens) and take about 4 hours, depending on the type of ferry.
You can explore options and book tickets on Ferryhopper.com. Major ferry operators include
Hellenic Seaways, Blue Star Ferries, Direct Ferries, and LetsFerry.

WHERE TO STAY

We recommend staying in or around Naousa.
Paros is a small island and it doesn’t take long to reach each destination.

THINGS TO DO

Naousa

Naousa is a fishing village by day and a shopping and dining centre at night, and is the main northern town. It’s a gorgeous village with blue-domed churches, white-washed houses, quaint fishing boats, and stone pathways boasting many restaurants, high-end cocktail bars, boutiques, and a winery

Parikia

Parikia is the capital and main port of the island. Hence, it is the first place you will see if traveling by ferry. There are many restaurants, cafes, and shops along the waterfront and through a maze of alleys and narrow whitewashed streets in the old town with other hidden gems. The town includes many historical monuments, including Panagia Ekatontapyliani (church of 100 doors) and the Frankish castle. From the Church of Agios Konstantinos you can watch one of the most beautiful sunsets. If you are looking for a relaxed and quiet evening walk, this is the place to come.

Leykes

Lefkes is a small picturesque town nestled in the mountains behind Naousa with stunning views. It’s very quaint, with white-washed buildings, blue doors, and pink Bougainvillea flowers at every turn. It's a lovely place we highly recommend visiting for lunch, coffee, or to stroll around and let the time stop for a moment.

Piso Livadi

This is a small, peaceful seaside village with excellent food and a harbour close to Marpissa - another charming village with the beautiful Monastery of Agios Antonios.

Visit Antiparos

Monastiri Beach

A small rocky bay on the northern side of Paros. The beach bar is one of the best on the island, the energy is relaxing yet vibrant and it is perfect if you wish to spend all day on the beach!

Kolymbithres Beach

One of the most popular beaches on the island because of its unique landscape with shallow turquoise waters and the rocky lunar scenery. Known for its smooth, eroded granite rocks and small, sandy coves created in between them, it is a beach worth visiting.

Chrysi Akti / Golden Beach

Deep blue waters, golden sand and a beautiful Cycladic landscape - this is a beach that we highly recommend. Ideal if you are planning on enjoying a whole day at the beach as the facilities, bars and restaurants provide anything you might need.

Faragas Beach

Sandy, tranquil and with great natural beauty; It rarely gets frequented due to its secluded location. A good alternative if you seek a relaxing vibe and sense of exclusivity.

Santa Maria

Another beautiful beach with shimmering golden sand and incredible crystal blue water. It is organized with sun-beds and beach bars.
